GALLRY / CINEMA / LIBRARY

The Sakse gallery and photo book library in Laiza, the Kachin Independence Organization’s capital, opened in 2013. We are located on the 2nd floor of the National Library.

The gallery, cinema and library give vital exposure to world class media for the local people. It also functions as a training space for developing future Kachin curators with half of the exhibitions being curated by our alumni & mentees.

Exhibitions open every 1-2 months

Cinema shows two movies per week, with free popcorn

Library is open everyday to the public

Workshops takes place at least once per month
